Summer Scholars Program

"Justice and Life Calling"

The theme of the 2009 Summer Scholars Program is "Justice and Life Calling."  Working with professors from the John Wesley Honors College and Center for Life Calling and Leadership, students will explore their Christian identity and personal life calling through an historical investigation of "justice."  As students engage in this unique World Civilizations course, they will do more than merely study the rise and fall of cultures and societies.  Students will also discover how previous civilizations have conceived of "justice" and "life calling" as they formulate their own understanding of these concepts in light of the gospel.  Additionally, Summer Scholars will work with the Center for Life Calling and Leadership to identify how their unique gifts, talents, and interests relate to their own calling and potential career paths.
