Safety: It is a big decision to spend a semester studying abroad. While no guarantees can be made regarding safety while traveling, all programs are monitored and vetted for safe travel. Travel Warnings from the US Department of State are closely monitored and can be viewed at http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis_pa_tw_1168.html and many of the programs have close contact with the US Embassy in their location. The safety of our students is a top priority for us.

Note:

IWU Zambia students will be housed by World Hope International Zambia. IWU staff and faculty as well as the national WHIZ leadership will take responsibility for students. In country medical care will be supplied by local physicians in Choma.
