College Wesleyan Church

Although it is not officially a part of IWU, College Wesleyan Church shares a close relationship with the university and its students. With property adjacent to IWU’s campus, College Wesleyan graciously allows the university to use its facilities for periodic chapels, special events and speakers, and overflow classroom space.

Many students and professors take part in College Wesleyan’s Sunday and midweek services, and the church continually reaches out to the IWU community. One prominent example of this is Chi Alpha, College Wesleyan’s college ministry. Along with its regular midweek worship service, Chi Alpha also hosts a variety show called “Friday Night Live” on IWU’s campus four times a year. Each installment of the show includes skits, clever videos, musical guests, and a student host. The show is so popular with students and community members that it sells out the PPAC Auditorium at every performance.

College Wesleyan Church is located along the north side of IWU’s campus. It is east of Burns Hall, west of Reed Hall, and north of Shatford Hall.

From the intersection of South Nebraska and East 38th Streets, travel south on Nebraska. Proceed three blocks and turn west (right) in to the drive between Reed Hall and Bowman Hall. Follow this drive straight ahead into the large parking lot—College Wesleyan’s main entrance and parking are located at the northwest (far right) side of the lot.

Parking for College Wesleyan is available north and east of the building, as well as in the Burns Hall parking lot.
