In the Wesleyan tradition, Aldersgate is identified as the place where in 1738 John Wesley's greatest anxieties came to find peace and rest in God. The once disparate elements of his life came together to form an integrated whole—a love for God intent on changing the world.
In a similar spirit, the purpose of The Aldersgate Center is to develop world changers through programs that draw together the curricular and co-curricular dimensions of Indiana Wesleyan University's distinctively Christian approach to higher education. As a result, the programs we coordinate integrate Christian ideals and virtues in pursuit of the education of the whole person. |
