World Christian Fellowship
Mission Statement:
World Christian Fellowship is a group of students unified in seeking God through prayer, adherence to His voice and fellowship so that we may know God and make Him known as we share His heart for the world.
Purpose:
World Christian Fellowship is devoted to gathering together as students for the purpose of praising God, listening to His Word, interceding for people around the world and becoming unified as the body of Christ as well as having hearts broken for the lost and having willing spirits ready to go and serve in Marion and around the world.
Overview:
World Christian Fellowship gathers for fellowship and prayer every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. (7:00 for prayer before the gathering) at Carter Chapel in the Noggle Christian Ministries Center
Besides gathering on Thursday nights, WCF also desires to make a lasting difference in the community by being involved in Community Outreach led by Adam Thada and Becky Crump. The emphasis is on connecting students with opportunities to serve in Marion through both short and long term outreach opportunities.
WCF maintains an emphasis on prayer by interceding for the nations by being aware of the various current events around the world. The emphasis on being World Christians involves having a heart to see God's kingdom grow around the world and having a desire that all may come to the Lord. Nate Fussner oversees the development and application of the various prayer opportunities.
In addition, WCF attempts to bring in speakers that have practical experience in world evangelism as well as a firm commitment of the power of God's Word. Katie Wright contacts and arranges for speakers from all over the world to teach the student body straight from the scriptures so that we may know God before making Him known.
Also, Kyle Scott leads a team whose purpose is to lift up the name of Jesus in song and praise the Lord for all his mighty acts, for an accurate understanding of the greatness of our God is vital to our daily walk with Him. WCF's desire is to proclaim and magnify the Lord our God by keeping His attributes foremost in our attentions and praise.
WCF also assists in the development and implementation of Missions Festival and the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
