With its thrust stage, tiered seating, and tiered wood ceiling, Carter Chapel provides an intimate setting for gatherings of various sizes. It features double-door entrances on both sides of the room, a ceiling projection system and a retractable power screen, a sound booth, a 30" high platform with rear entranceway, and eleven tiers of individual chairs. Seating up to 260 comfortably, its shape and quiet design also make Carter Chapel ideal for private events of as few as 20 guests. An IWU Namesake: Carter Chapel is named in honor of the late Dr. Charles W. and Elizabeth Carter, for their longtime service to the Wesleyan Church.
