Visit and See for Yourself
We invite you to visit the Indiana Wesleyan University residential campus and see for yourself what others are talking about. IWU has state-of-the-art education and athletic facilities, modern and comfortable residence halls with the amenities you would expect, and a beautiful campus with award-winning architecture.
IWU Is One of the Fastest Growing Universities in the U.S.
In the last 20 years IWU has more than doubled in enrollment, now exceeding the 2,900 mark on campus. IWU is the largest university in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), which has more than 100 member colleges throughout the U.S. IWU is also the second largest private college in Indiana--surpassed in size by only Notre Dame.
A Great Value
A brand new campus with outstanding academic, performing arts, wellness and recreation, residence life, and dining facilities with strong academic programs being taught by a dedicated group of faculty could lead you to believe that an IWU could be out of your price range. But a close look at surveys of Indiana private colleges and Christian colleges in the CCCU reveal that IWU is moderately priced and a great value. Among Indiana private colleges, only one other private college charges less tuition than IWU. Among U.S. Christian colleges and universities in the CCCU, IWU ranks in the 43rd percentile in cost. In other words, IWU’s tuition cost is in the lower half compared to other Christian colleges. Our administration, faculty, and Board of Trustees are committed to offering you a tremendous value for your tuition and room and board fees.

Room and Board Freeze
It is common for colleges and universities to annually increase room and board fees anywhere from 6 to 9 percent. Not so at IWU. We will freeze the rate you paid your first year so that you keep paying that same amount all four years. This Room and Board Freeze can produce savings of $800 to $1,000 during your stay at IWU. To maintain this cost savings measure there are a few things you’ll have to do.
Room and board will be frozen at entry level through the student's years at Indiana Wesleyan University, including the graduate level, providing:
  • Students eligible for the room and board freeze complete the freeze application and return it to the Business Office to receive the freeze discount.
  • The student remains full-time each semester of each subsequent year.
  • The student abides by available payment methods. Late payment of the school bill will be cause for forfeiture of this benefit.
  • The student elects the full meal plan each semester and lives on campus consecutive semesters.
No Technology Fees
You’ll find that IWU doesn’t charge for technology fees. While IWU has a “wired campus” with state-of-the-art classrooms, computer labs, residence hall computer labs, online courses, “smart classrooms,” video conferencing, and much more it doesn’t charge exorbitant technology fees each year. In fact, at new student orientation, our University Information Technology personnel will help you hook up your computer to our Internet service “free of charge.”
Center for Life Calling and Leadership
Is Unique Among Colleges and Universities
The Center for Life Calling and Leadership is an innovative resource available to IWU students. Counseling, testing, and mentoring help students identify the right professional career and give meaning, direction, and satisfaction to their individual lives. A unique feature at IWU is the Leadership Major available to all students. Combining the Leadership Major with another discipline prepares students for servant-leadership in their respective professional fields.
92% of Students Receive Financial Aid
If you decide to file for financial aid, a financial aid counselor will be assigned to assist you during your time at IWU. Your financial aid counselor will listen to your needs and help you explore ways to finance your education. Strong Spiritual Atmosphere
Guests visiting the IWU community often comment about the awesome presence of God on our campus. You will find a strong commitment to a Christ-centered academic community among the students, faculty, and administration. Some of the campus initiatives designed to assist students with spiritual formation are chapel, the freshmen “World Changer Experience” course, Old Testament and New Testament Survey Bible courses, dedicated faculty, numerous local, U.S., and international short-term mission trips, residence hall Bible studies, and a student mentoring program.
New Student Survey
and “Campus Life” magazine Survey Results
The incoming freshman class is surveyed each year. For seven straight years, this survey has revealed that spiritual atmosphere is the number-one reason students choose IWU. The other reasons students choose IWU are: 2) Academic Excellence, 3) Nintey-two percent of IWU students receive financial aid, 4) Faculty Reputation, and 5) Outstanding Campus Facilities.
Campus Life magazine in its biannual survey of 1,000 high school students learned that prospective high school students overwhelmingly ranked IWU number one in spiritual atmosphere out of 345 colleges and universities.
