Application Guidelines Indiana Wesleyan is a Christian liberal arts university committed to the integration of faith and learning. Affiliated with the Wesleyan Church, IWU offers quality liberal arts education in a distinctively Christian Environment. Indiana Wesleyan encourages students who desire an outstanding Christian Education to apply for admission. Our students come from diverse backgrounds but bring a common commitment to which the Indiana Wesleyan Community is dedicated. First Time Freshmen Students To complete the application, please follow the directions on each of the following pages. This is the first step in the admissions process. The following items must be received before your application can be evaluated: A completed application and community values expectation form. A recommendation from your pastor or another adult. An official high school transcript including at least six semesters of credit and a complete grading scale. Scores from the SAT1 or ACT exam. Financial resources form (PDF) Please submit two recent photographs for identification and submission to your local newspaper. (Optional) Transfer Students The following items must be received before your application file can be evaluated: A completed application and community values expectation form. A recommendation from your pastor or another adult. An official transcript from ALL colleges or universities attended, regardless of hours completed or reasons for leaving. A transfer information form completed by the last college or university attended. An official high school transcript including a complete grading scale. Scores from the SAT1 or ACT exam. Financial resources form (PDF) Please submit two recent photographs for identification and submission to your local newspaper. (Optional) Application Evaluation After all items are received, your application will be carefully evaluated. When a decision is made about your application, you will be notified. The $100 tuition deposit is required of all students after acceptance. As soon as this deposit is received, a campus housing application will be sent to all desiring campus housing. Campus housing is not guaranteed but will be assigned according to the date the deposit AND housing application are received. Housing Policy All unmarried students (excluding seniors or students 23 years of age or older) must live in university housing or with a parent or legal guardian. After acceptance and upon receipt of your $100.00 deposit, a housing application will be sent to those desiring campus housing. Any remaining balance after financial aid would need to be documented as mentioned above, for all years that the student plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University. The I-20 form can be issued after this time. U.S. Immigration requires international students using the I-20 form to be enrolled for classes full-time each semester.
