History and Political Science Scholarship

All qualifying juniors are eligible for the History and Political Science Scholarship, which is worth $200 and is awarded annually at the Division Honors Reception. This scholarship will be awarded $100 for each semester of the senior year.

Qualifications
All juniors majoring in history, international relations, political science, political science pre-law, public policy, social studies or social studies education who meet the following criteria will receive a $200 History and Political Science Scholarship:

  • will have completed at the end of the current semester at least three semesters of study at Indiana Wesleyan University.
  • will have completed at the end of the current semester 20 or more semester hours toward their department of history and political science major at Indiana Wesleyan University.
  • will have completed at the end of the current semester a minimum of nine semester hours from upper division classroom (theoretical) courses, numbered 300 or above, taught in the history and political science department.
  • have a 3.60 or higher general GPA, and a 3.70 or higher GPA in the department of history and political science major(s).
  • plan to attend IWU and graduate from IWU during the next academic year.
  • is not a recipient of the $500 Bowman Scholarship.
  • is not a recipient of the Social Sciences Division Scholarship.
