Welcome to the Division of Social Sciences

We appreciate your interest in one of our majors. We offer majors in economics, history, political science, political science pre-law, social studies and social studies education. Our central purpose is to help students develop and articulate a biblical Christian worldview in order to more effectively serve God and man in their respective fields. To accomplish this purpose, we also challenge students to understand worldviews that conflict with their own, and to deal charitably with those who do not share the same presuppositions.

Since the founding of the university in 1920, the Division of Social Sciences has been successfully preparing graduates for effective leadership. Our graduates have consistently achieved excellent records in graduate school, law school, and seminary. Many are serving with significant success as teachers at the secondary and university levels, attorneys, judges, prosecutors, political leaders, business men and women, journalists, missionaries, pastors, guidance counselors, politicians, leaders in the military and intelligence services, administrators and writers.

If we can be of any further service to you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Prospective students may reach us through the admissions office at 1(800)332-6901 or admissions@indwes.edu.
