Biblical Literature And Languages (A.B.)

The Biblical literature degree is for students interested in studying the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The program is packed with Bible courses that will help you understand the background of the Bible, the culture of people from the Bible, the relevant archeological finds and how to interpret and apply the Bible to life. It is a great double major for students who want a solid foundation in the Bible. Some students who plan to go on to seminary take this degree as well.

The IWU Biblical literature degree features several well-known Bible profs including Wilbur Williams, Ken Schenck, David Smith and Steve Lennox. If you are interested in the Bible and its meaning to life today, or if you want to teach Bible in a Christian school, this is a degree for you to consider. You'd be in classes with many students from other majors (all of our majors are required to take significant Bible courses) so you'd get acquainted with a variety of other students in the Religion division, which makes it an unforgettable experience.
