Dr.
Van De Merwe joined the faculty at Indiana Wesleyan in 1995.
He has worked in a number of different physics specialties over
the years. These include:
Low-Temperature Physics
Electron diffraction ion gases
Photorepair of DNA
Long-range laser applications.
Biomedical optics and laser applications.
Optical detection and identification of microorganisms
Genetic engineering and gene-expression
Besides physics and biophysics projects, Dr. Van De Merwe developed
a course studying the interaction between science and faith.
The course received an award from the John Templeton Foundation
in 2001.

of the course "Impacts of Science on Faith and Society."
