Dr. Brinkman joined the faculty at Indiana Wesleyan in 2000.
His areas of specialty include analytical and environmental
chemistry. At Indiana Wesleyan, Dr. Brinkman teaches both freshman
and upperclass chemistry courses. He is the advisor for all
chemistry majors.
Before coming to IWU, Dr. Brinkman spent 12 years doing research
for the U.S. Department of Energy in the areas of processing
heavy crude oils, synthetic crudes and hydrocarbon wastes.
He then was research manager for an environmental services company
for 12 years. He has published extensively and made many presentations
on research in used oil recycling, fuel stability, and many
other topics.
Dr. Brinkman currently resides in Sweetser with his wife, Joan,
and two daughters.
