Euni Rickey, Associate Professor of Music teaches piano courses including private and class piano, ensemble and
piano pedagogy at Indiana Wesleyan University. She has also taught humanities fine arts and senior seminar.
She is the director of the annual IWU Piano Pedagogy Conference.
Euni holds a B.S. degree (’71) from Marion College (now IWU), and an M.A.(’77) and D.A.
(’04) from Ball State University. She serves as chairperson for the Marion area National Guild of Piano
where she has also been active as an adjudicator. She is a member of the American College of Musicians
(ACM) where she is listed in the Piano Guild Hall of Fame, Music Teachers National Association (MTNA),
Indiana Music Teachers Association (IMTA) having served as directory editor, and the Marion Lyric Club.
Dr. Rickey’s professional experience includes four years as a high school choral director,
twenty-seven years of private piano teaching and eight years of teaching adjunct music before becoming
full-time status. She has performed and accompanied for the Wesleyan denomination including an
international radio broadcast, district camps and general conferences and for Lakeview Wesleyan Church.
She also directs the Lakeview Handbell Choir.
Euni is married to Brian, a Lt. Col. with the Indiana Army National Guard. Their
daughter Kari, son Jeffry and wife Amber (Swarts) each graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University.
