Activity Courses

Indiana Wesleyan University Division of Health & Human Performance fits well into the philosophy of the university to develop world changers by enhancing the whole person. The goal would be to engage each person as they learn neuromuscular skills, obtain organic fitness, gain insight in their intellectual growth, socially interact, emotionally release stress, and spiritually acknowledge God's presence.

Undergraduates at IWU are required as a part of their general education to take two credit hours of activity courses in IWU's new Recreation & Wellness Center or outdoor complex. Skills, knowledge, and attitudes will be developed in each course.

IWU offers a wide range of activity classes ranging from aquatics in IWU's new natatorium to team and individual sports related classes. Popular outdoor recreational sports courses are backpacking, canoeing and horsemanship.
