Sue Bowman earned a B.A. in Physical Education, and minor in English from Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind., in 1967. In 1969 she earned a Master of Education in Physical Education from Ball State University. She later completed 30 hours in the area of Health Science at Ball State University.

Sue teaches health and nutrition courses such as, Nutrition, CPR, First Health, School Health and Safety, and Public Community.

Sue began her career at Indiana Wesleyan University, then Marion College, in the fall of 1970. Over her 32 years at IWU, in addition to teaching Physical Education courses, she was the Women’s Athletic Director, and coached the Volleyball, Tennis, Field Hockey and Basketball teams. Later in her career, she started IWU’s Softball, and Track and Field programs. She has also served as the assistant coach of soccer. She presently is the Head Women’s Softball Coach.

Sue serves on the boards of the American Red Cross and YMCA. She is a member of the NFCA, AAHPERD, and the IAHPERD.
