Karen Hatch
Adjunt Professor in Physical Education
After graduating from college I spent 33 ½ years teaching in public schools in the areas of Health, Physical Education, World History, Social Studies, and Computer. During that time I also coached and officiated Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field at both the high school and middle school level. Since 2002 I have been an adjunct professor at IWU, Huntington University, and Manchester College in their respective Health and Physical Education Methods classes.
I am very active in my church, Sunnycrest United Methodist, serving as Lay Leader and UMW President, as well as assisting in morning services as needed. Having worked with IAHPERD (Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) for over 25 years, it seemed natural to become the Executive Director for the organization. Through that organization I have been able to promote Health and Physical Education throughout Indiana. In my spare time I am a quilter and an avid reader.
