Dr. John Bratcher has been teaching and coaching in Christian colleges and universities for over 30 years. In addition to teaching in IWU's Division of Health & Human Performance he is IWU's Head Women's Soccer Coach. Women's Soccer Coach.

2002-2003 is the first year for Dr. Bratcher at IWU. His first year will be spent setting into his new positions on the field and in the classroom. In prior institutions he has been Division Chair, Athletic Director, Sports Ministry Coach, and has served on several professional academic, community, and athletic committees.

Dr. Bratcher earned a B.A. degree in Health and Physical Education from Grace College in 1973, a M.S. in Education and Physical Education from the University of St. Francis in 1974, and earned graduate credit from Michigan State in 1979-1980 and from Western Michigan in 1982. He attended Middle Tennessee State University on a Doctoral Fellowship in 1983 and completed his Doctor of Arts in Physical Education at there in 1984.

John and his wife, Vanetta, have two sons, J.P. and Michael both IWU graduates.
