Cheryl Thompson graduated from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation in 1972. Cheryl is finishing her graduate work in Agency Counseling at Indiana State University.

Since 1994 Cheryl has been responsible for teaching IWU’s therapeutic recreation courses, such as Introduction to Therapeutic Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation for the Aged, and Leisure Education/Therapeutic Recreation Facilitation Techniques.

When Cheryl retired from the Marion Veterans Administration Medical Center in 1997 she was their Chief of Recreation Therapy. She is Certified Recreation Therapist.
