The Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) aquatics program began in the fall of 1999. In two years there has been tremendous growth within the program. A variety of aquatics programs and activities have become available to the university. The IWU Aquatic Center has also become available to the Marion community via swim lessons and pool rentals.

The IWU pool is a 25-yard dual competition pool. There are six lanes that allow an ideal environment for lap swimming as well as dual swim meets. There is a one-meter diving board for all ages to enjoy. The pool temperature is set at 85 degrees Farenheit to accommodate all populations and programs.

The programs offered by the IWU aquatics program range from American Red Cross swim lessons to activity classes for college credit. Interested parties can register through the IWU aquatics director.

The IWU Aquatic Center is also available for renting, for birthday parties, youth group events or any large group events. Employment opportunities are available for any IWU student who is American Red Cross Lifeguard or Water Safety Instructor certified.

For anyone interested in any aquatics program or employment please contact Dawn Castro, aquatics director (765) 677-3480 or dawn.castro@indwes.edu.
