Job Market

The Division of Business prepares students for graduate study or to enter the work force. For young men and women who graduate with a degree from the Division of Business, a wide array of positions is available. Below you will find just a sampling of the positions available to our majors.

Accounting major
Types of positions: auditor, tax accountant, controller, cost estimator, consultant and manager.

Areas of employment: public accounting, manufacturing, retailing, service organizations, financial institutions, government and not-for-profit organizations

Business administration major
Types of positions: manager, sales representative, business owner, financial analyst, office manager, administrative assistant and consultant

Areas of employment: manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, finance, service organizations, government and not-for-profit organizations

Finance major
Types of positions: financial planner, financial analyst, securities analyst, financial manager, securities broker, bank analyst and investment banker

Areas of employment: financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, government and corporations

Management major
Types of positions: operations manager, production supervisor, human resource manager, small business owner/operator and consultant

Areas of employment: retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing, government and not-for-profit organizations

Marketing major
Types of positions: marketing manager, advertising copywriter, media planner, buyer, public relations, sales representative, sales manager, customer service manager, product manager, consultant, new product developer and corporate trainer

The Center for Life Calling & Leadership is staffed with trained, full-time professionals whose only responsibility is to provide career assistance to anyone who visits them on the second floor in the Student Center.
