Education
A.A., Miltonvale now Bartlesville Wesleyan College, 1972
B.S., Indiana Wesleyan University, 1976
M.A., Ball State University, 1977
M.B.A., Ball State University, 1980
Ed.D., Ball State University, 1990
I have been in this position: Full time or part-time since 1980.
I came to Indiana Wesleyan University because: I was a student at IWU--never planned to spend my life here. Gives a whole new meaning to the words, "my senior year."
A synopsis of my life and testimony: Saved at church camp in northern Minnesota at age 15, but hit many speed bumps for the next eight years trying to figure it out.
I grew up in: Columbia Heights, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis.
The most influential person in my life while growing up: Of course my parents, but I had a very special relationship with my father. He showed me that a person with an eighth grade education can be very wise and can do very well in life i.e. if Christ is in control.
Favorite passage of scripture: Romans in general, but specifically Romans 8:28. Judy and I have chosen Proverbs 3:5-6 as our life verses.
Favorite book (besides the Bible): The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis and Chronicles of Wasted Time by Malcom Muggeridge. In business, I like anything written by Peter Drucker. Additionally, I get a kick out of marketing books by Jay Conrad Levinson.
