Dr. Harriet Rojas, Associate Professor of Business
General Information
Dr. Rojas served for a number of years in various management positions. She was born in the state of Washington and loves the mountains and ocean. She served as a missionary with The Wesleyan Church in the country of Peru where she met her husband, Ner. He teaches classical guitar at Indiana Wesleyan University. They have one daughter.
Professional Involvement
Dr. Rojas has served on several boards and committees of state, regional and national associations. She served on the Technical Review Panel for the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Educational Statistics National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS). She has taught both undergraduate and graduate classes in statistics for the IWU College of Adult & Professional Studies.
Accomplishments and Interests
Dr. Rojas was recognized in 1993 as the outstanding administrative/exempt employee in her organization. She has chaired committees that received national awards for excellence. She has been involved in six different computer conversion projects with three different organizations. She serves as the Sam Walton fellow for the IWU Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team, loves playing trumpet, sports of all kinds, trivia and crossword puzzles. She lives in a bicultural, bilingual home where both Spanish and English are spoken.
